Ability Plus provides Residential services for people with intellectual disabilities in diverse community settings.

Residential Services through Ability Plus offers a person-centered, individualized, home environment that offers opportunities for people to increase independence and enjoy community living.  Each home is staffed with highly trained support personnel specifically trained on the needs of each person being served. Our support personnel promote opportunities for people to make choices in life skill development, while participating in many activities throughout the community; church, shopping, festivals, sporting events, trips, and much more. Each person’s dreams and goals serve as the foundation for the development of community living. Support personnel encourage and follow a person-centered approach.  A team consisting of the individual, family, friends, and other interested parties meets to determine necessary supports and how the person wishes to spend his or her leisure time. People living in our community homes are involved in meaningful daytime activities such as employment& volunteer work.
 
Ability Plus currently operates 41 residential sites serving around 100 people in 4 counties; Madison, Morgan, Limestone, and Etowah.
